What is the difference between vegetarian and vegan diet?

If you are vegetarian, do not eat meat, what just mostly includes fish. Vegans do not eat any animal products at all, including, for example, eggs and milk products.

The vegetarian alliance in Germany estimates that around 7.8 million people are vegetarian (about 10 percent of the population) and 900,000 vegans (1.1 percent) in Germany – as of January 2015. Various studies have shown that a clear majority of both vegetarians and vegans are female, young and educated above-average, and live in large cities.
