Note: A part of the research was carried out by Prof. Thomas Ziegler, herpetologist with a focus of research on lizards, snakes and frogs in Southeast Asia and head of the aquarium at Cologne Zoo. It is also thanks to his commitment that Cologne Zoo was able to carry out important conservation projects for endangered animals in Laos.
