There is an ark project to save fire salamanders. Wuppertal Green Zoo is also actively involved in the large-scale project to ensure that these amphibians stand a chance.
Note: Fortunately, more and more zoos are becoming involved in different conservation projects for fire salamanders. There is also great value in the different newly adopted approaches to prevent the extinction of these salamanders.
However, this also shows: without zoos and aquariums, fire salamanders would hardly stand a chance of surviving.
