Marine mammal expert Roberto Sánchez informs about dolphin husbandry in zoos and aquariums on the basis of the largest study on the well-being of dolphins ever to be conducted.
Note: The expert also debunks numerous incorrect narratives that frequently circulate through the media. He explains, with reference to the US Atmospheric Agency (NOAA), that each year an average of 500,000 dolphins die in the wild from human related causes, and that the average lifespan there is 17,4 years, whilst in zoological facilities, it is 29,2 years.
