It is the first time that a facility such as the Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue Center opens in the MENA region. The center is a ray of hope for the region’s marine life.
Note: It is important to note that this park does not belong to SeaWorld. The US theme park company only acts as a licensor. The center is owned by the company Miral. It is a real estate development, management and investment company responsible for the development and management of Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The company also owns and runs Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi, Ferrari World and Yas Waterworld – all managed through its fully-owned subsidiary Farah Experiences. This leaves hope that, unlike the parks in the US, this SeaWorld park will not be reduced to a mere roller coaster park of only regional importance.
