This is a very interesting and also explosive topic. The ZAA is a very important zoo association, also for those zoos wanting to keep free contact between elephants and caretakers, for good reason. It is a good alternative, for other good reasons, to the AZA – an association that has attracted attention lately for its questionable closeness to the animal rights industry.
